		<description>I agree with most of what you say, but am concerned that it still supports the position that pay drives behavior.  As with financial metrics pay is a by-product.  The notion that by having &quot;skin-in-the-game and designing incentive systems to crate a sense of owner-mentality actually drives the opposite of owner mentality.

An owner of the company, namely the founder who gave birth to The Living Organization(R) os not in it for the money but rather to see their passion, the Soulful Purpose(TM) they infused in their company, their child, be fully realized.  There is an  assumption that such a result will result in financial gains, but that is the by-product, the result of of not the cause for their behaviors.

Until we change the fundemental orientation about pay we will never change the drive for money, i.e. we are stimulating the greed behavior that is being blamed for many of our society&#039;s woes.
